Ingredients
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup milk
1 cup unsalted butter, softened (for frosting)
4 cups powdered sugar
¼ cup milk (for frosting)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
Food coloring (orange, purple, and black)
Halloween-themed sprinkles (for decoration)
Edible eyes (for decoration)
Gummy candies (optional, for decoration)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin pan with cupcake liners.
Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl until combined.
Add the softened butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk to the dry mixture. Beat until well combined, about 2-3 minutes.
Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool the cupcakes in the pan for about 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Beat the softened butter until creamy in a large bowl. Gradually add powdered sugar, alternating with milk and vanilla, until desired consistency is reached.
Frost the cooled cupcakes with colored frostings using a piping bag or spatula.
Add Halloween-themed sprinkles, gummy candies, and edible eyes to decorate.
Notes
Ensure butter is softened for a smooth batter. Don’t overmix to keep cupcakes light and fluffy. Allow cooling fully before frosting.
